Short cv:
I graduated with Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Aquaculture from the University of Dar es Salaam in 2014 and three years later succeed to pursue my postgraduate studies, graduated with Masters in Fisheries Science from Pukyong National University. For six months I been working with university of Dar es salaam (School of Aquatic sciences and Fisheries Technology). As laboratory scientist I do assisting in all technical duties and responsibilities requiring a higher degree of planning and design competence in the areas of students practical/projects, assisting in Aquatic sciences and fisheries technology research and development activities, assisting in consultancy activates. specifically, In Laboratory I'm dealing with chemical and biological analysis, specific zooplankton and phytoplankton analysis present on water column, nutrients analysis in water. All these are done in organizing and instructing marine sciences practical classes for undergraduate and postgraduate students, assisting academic staff in their research and development activities as mentioned above
my passion has always been to acquire new skills and learn new things to support me in fulfilling my duties on assist academic staff in their research and coaching students (help students be better equipped in terms of aquatic sciences knowledge).
Hence acquiring advanced Oceanography skills from the training will build my capacity in preparing practical for both undergraduate and postgraduate students in order to produce quality future ocean observers. In addition, through collaboration with other scientists, the acquired knowledge from the training will help me to intensively conduct research in different areas of oceanography especially the understudied areas such as organic carbon cycle and its implication on the overall country, regional, and global carbon budget.
