Short cv:

I started my career by taking Marine Biology as an undergraduate and gained experience working in various environmental and coastal resource management projects in the Philippines. My past work and training involved coastal remote sensing and general coastal ecology specifically focused on seagrass ecology, with basic knowledge in physico-chemical parameter measurement methods essential for monitoring seagrass ecosystems. My Master’s thesis tackled the temporal ecological impacts of eutrophication from mariculture on the neighboring seagrass ecosystem. I am an NF-POGO Center of Excellence alumna and I acquired intensive training on interdisciplinary oceanography. It helped enhance my knowledge and interest on global oceans and understanding global environmental issues and knowledge gaps, crucial in developing management framework for a sustainable environment.  I am eager to learn more about the changing oceans and to fortify my future goals as a marine scientist. I am motivated to join the SoNoAT2019, as I want to be equipped in research cruise management and to learn more about the methods in scientific expedition and citizen science.
