General information
Shipboard training fellowship on cruise M148, on the German research vessel Meteor from Belem, Brazil to Walvis Bay Namibia starting May 24 to June 29, 2018. During M148, the physical oceanography and biochemistry measurement program will focus in the tropical South Atlantic at 11°S and in the eastern boundary upwelling region off Angola. The working programme involves hydrographic sections (CTD/O2), the recovery and redeployment of moorings and bottom shields off Angola, deployment of autonomous observatories (Gliders) and microstructure measurements. Water samples will be analysed for oxygen, nutrients (including isotope composition) and trace gases (N2O, NO, CO2).
