Short CV

I am an oceanographer affiliated with the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), Brazil, with research interests in physical oceanography, particularly ocean circulation, air–sea interactions, and meso- and submesoscale processes. My work combines satellite observations, in situ measurements, and numerical modelling approaches to investigate ocean dynamics. I completed my M.Sc. at the Laboratory of Ocean Dynamics and Satellite Remote Sensing (LODS/FURG), where I investigated air–sea heat fluxes associated with submesoscale eddies in the South Brazil Bight. My research experience also includes regional hydrodynamic and morphodynamic modelling, coastal upwelling studies, and applications of oceanographic data to regional marine systems.

I have participated in some oceanographic cruises, including training aboard R/V Meteor in collaboration with GEOMAR and expeditions on Brazilian research vessels, where I gained experience in geophysical surveys, water sampling, onboard analyses, and CTD operations.

During my undergraduate studies, I also completed an internship in operational oceanography, gaining experience in oceanographic data processing, sensor operation, and field activities. I am currently a CNPq DTI fellow at FURG, working on ocean circulation and dynamics in the Southern Ocean using in situ observations.
