Short CV

I am a Moroccan oceanographer and ichthyologist, with a research background in marine plankton ecology and fish early life stages. My work focuses on ichthyoplankton, particularly the distribution of fish eggs and larvae and their relationship with environmental and oceanographic conditions along the CCLME with a special focus on the  Moroccan Atlantic/Mediterranean coasts.

I have taken part in several national and international oceanographic surveys, including expeditions on board the Dr. Fridtjof Nansen, the OceanXplorer and Al Hassan Al Marrakchi. My experience includes mesozooplankton sampling and analysis, taxonomic identification of fish larvae using both morphological and molecular approaches, and the study of fish spawning dynamics in relation to environmental variability and upwelling processes.
