Jacyara N. Corrêa is a PhD student in Environmental Contamination at the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA), within the Biodiversity and Biotechnology Network of the Legal Amazon (Rede Bionorte). She holds an MSc and BSc in Oceanography from UFMA and completed a 16-month academic exchange at Dalhousie University, Canada.

Her research focuses on the dynamics of metal pollution in Amazonian estuaries, highly productive and biodiverse coastal systems. She investigates the sources, behavior, and bioaccumulation of metals, as well as their impacts on estuarine environments. Her work aims to support environmental monitoring and contribute to the sustainable management and conservation of coastal ecosystems.
