Aghogho Kolawole-Daniels holds a Ph.D. degree in Ecology and Environmental Biology, she is a Marine Biologist at the Nigerian Institute for Oceanography and Marine Research, where she specializes in Marine Fisheries Biology and Benthic Ecology. Her extensive research focuses on the biology, ecology, and sustainable management of marine living resources, driving impactful conservation efforts. With a passion for preserving marine biodiversity, she has contributed to innovative projects and interdisciplinary collaborations, advancing sustainable practices and environmental policy in Nigeria. Her current research projects centers around using Environmental DNA as a tool for assessing biodiversity and biomonitoring (invasive and biosecurity) and Assessing blue Carbon in Mangrove ecosystems off the Lagos coast, Nigeria.
