Supervisor

Short CV

I am an engineer and researcher in environmental sciences and also hold a PhD in Oceanography, Environmental Sciences, and Earth Science. My work focuses on observational oceanography, marine ecosystem resilience, and the use of advanced monitoring approaches to better understand environmental change in coastal and marine systems. I work at the interface of field oceanography, autonomous observing platforms, satellite remote sensing, and interdisciplinary environmental analysis.

I have worked on marine protected areas, climate-related pressures on marine ecosystems, operational oceanography, and microplastic pollution. My research has also involved innovative technologies, including underwater gliders and integrated ocean observation systems, to support environmental monitoring, conservation, and evidence-based marine management. Through my work, I aim to strengthen the link between scientific research, technological innovation, and practical solutions for sustainable ocean governance.
